                                                                                                              The five MPD officers  On Jan. 7, Tyre Nichols, a 29-year-old father, was attacked and brutalized by five Black Memphis Police Department officers during a traffic stop that resulted in a confrontation. The body cam footage that MPD collected was referred to as "appalling" and "violent" on every level imaginable. Nichols passed away on Jan. 10 at a Memphis hospital. Hello, My name is Toyrese Walters, and I am a junior here at Kennesaw State University. This blog aims to dissect society and showcase how Black Americans have been unjustly minimized and wrongfully portrayed in mass media and American culture and how those experiences have been dissimilar to their racial counterparts. The Black Disposition will probe each mentioned occurrence while focusing on the effects these depictions and outcomes have on the aforestated demographic, politically and socially.
